I stumbled upon 39+ Pizzeria on Broadsheet whilst searching endlessly for a well-respected pizza restaurant in the inner city – and boy oh boy did I find one!
For a recent special occasion, we decided to venture to 39+ for what we knew was going to be an utterly delicious meal.
Located on Little Bourke Street, the restaurant is of medium size, however due to such large popularity staff do pack you right in. The moment you walk into this Pizzeria, the noise hits you – this is not a restaurant for those looking for a quite evening that is for sure! For me, this is a big plus as it means the atmosphere is alive and well.
With an extensive menu, there is something for everyone. The wide range of pizzas satisfies any pizza lover and for those who do not feel like pizza on the night, there is also a range of pastas and risottos – what more could you want from a restaurant?
We decided to share the ‘Diavola’ with Italian tomato salsa, Fior Di Latte, hot salami, chilli and black olives as well as the ‘Crudaiola’ with buffalo mozzarella, roma tomato, garlic, parsley, rocket & prosciutto di Parma. These pizzas were just delightful and I have been craving them ever since!
The service at 39+ is also wonderful; staff have heavy Italian accents and are gorgeously polite and helpful. Even though it was a Monday evening that we paid this divine restaurant a visit, it was fully booked out and the staff remained calm and even had smiles on their faces – amazing.
Oh, and if you are wondering about the name of this restaurant, it was cleverly named after the international Italian dialing code 39+!
Please, do yourself a favour next weekend and book for dinner at 39+ Pizzeria, you will not regret it! It is perfect for any occasion, be it a birthday or just a nice dinner out on the town.
I hope to be back very soon!
